Halloween Weekend in Vancouver, WA (2026): Trick-or-Treating, Haunts & Ghost Tours for Every Crowd

11 min read

Halloween is on a Saturday this year. Here's your whole weekend, sorted by who you're going with.

Halloween lands on a Saturday in 2026. No rushing home from work, no school-night bedtime fights, and the fun can start Friday night. That almost never happens, so let's not waste it.

I went through museum calendars, church flyers, farm websites, haunt pages and city event listings across Clark County so you don't have to. Then I sorted everything by who you're actually going out with. A parent with a 4-year-old and a group of friends who want to get screamed at need completely different weekends.

So find your crowd below and skip the rest. Every date, time, address and price here was checked against the organizer's own page as of October 14, 2026. Plans change, so tap through before you head out.

One more gift: Daylight Saving Time ends at 2 a.m. on Sunday, November 1. You get an extra hour of sleep after Halloween night. You're welcome.

Short on time? My top 3 picks

  1. For everyone: Halloween on Franklin Street. Free, several neighboring homes decked out like a movie set, and on Halloween night they host trick-or-treating from 5 to 9 p.m. If you only do one thing, do this.

  2. For ghost-story people: Spirit Tales of the Vancouver Barracks. A real historian walking you through Officers Row after dark. Spots are limited, and as of this week only about 20 were left for each Halloween-weekend tour.

  3. For scare-seekers: Cinema of Horrors Drive-In in Ridgefield. A horror movie on the big screen while live monsters work the cars around you. It sells out nightly, so book before you finish this post.

If it rains (and it might): Vancouver Mall's indoor trick-or-treating on Saturday, 5 to 8 p.m. Dry costumes, happy kids.

Sunday, Nov 1: Clocks fall back an hour, the Halloween events are done, and the only thing on the schedule is sorting candy. Sleep in.

Want the whole weekend on one page?

I turned this guide into a free printable handbill: every event, time and address on a single sheet, sorted by crowd, with a tear-off strip of what to book ahead. Stick it on the fridge, toss it in the car, or text a photo of it to the group chat that still can’t decide. No signup, no catch. Save the image below.

If you've got little ones (toddlers to about age 9)

Your weekend is about three things: candy, costumes that survive the rain, and getting home before someone melts down. Good news, Clark County has you covered on all three.

Halloween on Franklin Street

  • When: Display lit nightly 6–9 p.m. through Oct 31. Trick-or-treating on Halloween night, 5–9 p.m.

  • Where: Centered at 4616 NW Franklin St, Vancouver (Northwest neighborhood)

  • Cost: Free

This is the one your kids will talk about at school on Monday. Several neighbors on Franklin go all in with lights, music and special effects, and the family behind it has been decorating for decades. My tip for small kids: go right at 5 p.m. on Saturday, or do the display on Friday night instead. Halloween night gets packed, and organizers have estimated crowds in the thousands. Park a few blocks away, walk in, and be kind to the neighbors who make this happen. holidaysonfranklin.com

Vancouver Mall Spooktacular Trick-or-Treating

  • When: Saturday, Oct 31, 5–8 p.m.

  • Where: Vancouver Mall, 8700 NE Vancouver Mall Dr

  • Cost: Free

Your rain plan. Participating stores hand out candy inside the mall. Know the rules before you go: trick-or-treating is for kids 10 and under, and adults or kids over 10 can't wear Halloween masks inside. I'd leave toy weapons at home too. shopvancouvermall.com

Battle Ground Boo Bash

  • When: Friday, Oct 30, 3–6 p.m.

  • Where: Battle Ground Event Center, 912 E Main St, Battle Ground

  • Cost: Free

Battle Ground's annual free Halloween party: family carnival games, spooky activities and a trunk-or-treat. It's on Friday afternoon, so it's a perfect warm-up before the big night. Park at Fairground Park and the Little League fields off NE Fairground Ave. The Reflector community calendar

Trunk-or-Treat on Daniels Street (Uptown Vancouver)

  • When: Saturday, Oct 31, 4–6:30 p.m.

  • Where: Real Life Foursquare Church, 1801 Daniels St (across from Hough Elementary)

  • Cost: Free

The church closes Daniels Street between McLoughlin Blvd and 19th St to traffic and lines both sides with decorated cars full of candy, plus games and music. A closed street means you can actually let go of their hand for a minute. reallifefoursquare.com

Washougal Trick or Treat on Main

  • When: Saturday, Oct 31. The city calendar lists merchant trick-or-treating on Main Street from 3–5 p.m., and the Camas-Washougal Chamber's hub at Reflection Plaza from 4–6 p.m.

  • Where: Main Street and Reflection Plaza, 1703 Main St, Washougal

  • Cost: Free

Small-town downtown trick-or-treating at local businesses, done before dark. In past years families parked at the Pendleton outlet (2 Pendleton Way) and started at the Chamber's tent. City of Washougal calendar

Bi-Zi Farms Pumpkin Patch

  • When: Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m.–6 p.m. Timed tickets in 30-minute slots, last slot 4:30 p.m., gate closes 5 p.m. Saturday is the last day of the season.

  • Where: 9316 NE 119th St, Vancouver

  • Cost: $16 ages 3 and up, $14 for 62+ and military, plus sales tax. Buy online.

If your kids still don't have a pumpkin, this is the move. A ticket covers a wagon ride to the patch, one free pumpkin of any size you can carry, the corn maze, two shots on the pumpkin launchers, a free hot drink, farm animals and kids' activities like the bale maze and pedal tractors. Live music runs on Saturdays. bi-zifarms.com

If you've got big kids and tweens (about 8 to 13)

This is the awkward age. Too old for the mall candy line, not quite old enough for an R-rated drive-in. They want to be a little scared, with you close enough that it doesn't count as being scared. Here's how to win them over.

The Haunted Laboratory

  • When: Friday, Oct 30 and Saturday, Oct 31, 7–10 p.m.

  • Where: 1201 NW 78th St, Vancouver (Hazel Dell)

  • Cost: Free

A homemade walk-through haunted house, now in its third year at this Hazel Dell spot, built around a mad scientist character called Professor D. Mented. The organizers recommend ages 8 and up and warn of fake blood and plenty of jump scares. That's the exact sweet spot for this crowd: scary enough to brag about, free, and close to home. Visit Vancouver WA listing

Bi-Zi Farms Nighttime Corn Maze

  • When: Friday, Oct 30, 6–10 p.m. (hourly slots, last slot 9 p.m.). This is the final night of the season.

  • Where: 9316 NE 119th St, Vancouver

  • Cost: $9.50, or $7.50 for 62+ and military, plus tax. Online only, no gate sales.

A big corn maze in the dark is a rite of passage. If you bought a daytime pumpkin patch ticket for Friday, it includes same-day entry to the night maze, so you can do both. Bring a flashlight per kid and agree on a meeting spot before anyone runs ahead. bi-zifarms.com

Halloween on Franklin Street, after dark

Yes, it's in the little-ones section too. But on weekend nights, local families volunteer as scare actors once it's dark (weather permitting). Little kids see a light show. Tweens see a dare. Go on Friday, 6–9 p.m., for the full effect with smaller crowds.

Spirit Tales of the Vancouver Barracks (for curious kids)

If your 11-year-old is into ghost stories and history, this tour is a genuinely great family night. Youth 15 and under get the $17 rate, and adults should accompany anyone under 13. Full details are in the ghost-story section below.

If you're the scare-seeker (teens and adults)

You don't want cute. You want to grab the person next to you. Here's where to get that in Clark County without driving to Portland.

Cinema of Horrors Drive-In

  • When: Final run Wednesday, Oct 28 through Saturday, Oct 31. Gates open 5 p.m., show at 7 p.m. (or dark). You must arrive by 7 p.m.

  • Where: Clark County Event Center at the Fairgrounds, 17402 NE Delfel Rd, Ridgefield (I-5 exit 9)

  • Cost: Priced per car, not per person, and the price changes by date and inventory. Online only, non-refundable.

You park, a horror movie plays on a giant screen, and costumed scare actors bring the scenes to life right outside your windows. They never touch you or your car, which somehow makes it worse. It runs rain or shine and sells out every night, so this is the one to book today.

Before you go: most films are PG-13 or R, so check that night's film on the ticket page. Face-covering masks, outside alcohol and pets aren't allowed. Oversized vehicles like limos, campers and lifted trucks are turned away. ridgefield.cinemaofhorrors.com

The Haunted Laboratory

  • When: Friday and Saturday, 7–10 p.m.

  • Where: 1201 NW 78th St, Vancouver (Hazel Dell)

  • Cost: Free

Yes, it's a home haunt. Don't let that fool you. Jump scares and fake blood, and it's free, so you can stack it with the drive-in on the same night. Visit Vancouver WA listing

Pair it with a ghost walk

Want scary that sticks with you longer than a jump scare? The two haunted walking tours below are built on real local history, which is its own kind of creepy.

If you're the ghost-story and history person

Vancouver is one of the oldest non-Native settlements in the Northwest, and some of that history never quite settled down. These two tours are my favorite way to spend Halloween weekend in this town, and both have limited spots.

Spirit Tales of the Vancouver Barracks

  • When: Friday, Oct 30, 7–8:30 p.m. and Saturday, Oct 31, 7:30–8:30 p.m.

  • Where: Meet in the parking lot across from the Grant House on Officers Row (approximately 1100 E Evergreen Blvd)

  • Cost: $22 general; $17 for seniors 60+, veterans and youth 15 and under

Local historian Jeff Davis, who served at the Vancouver Barracks for years, leads a loop through the western half of the post. Stops include the Parade Ground, the O.O. Howard House, the Post Hospital and the Grant House, with the stories of soldiers and families who may still be around. When I checked on Oct 14, there were about 20 spots left for Friday and 18 for Saturday.

Know before you go: it's about 1.5 miles over sidewalks and grass, it runs rain or shine, you never go inside a building, and there are no restrooms at the start or along the route. Adults should accompany anyone under 13. It's not run by the National Park Service, so buy through the tour's own site, not the visitor center. jeffdavisghostguy.com

Clark County Historical Museum: Haunted History Walking Tour

  • When: Friday, Oct 30 and Saturday, Oct 31, 7–8 p.m.

  • Where: Starts at the Clark County Historical Museum, 1511 Main St, Vancouver

  • Cost: $20, booked through Eventbrite (pick your date with "check availability")

Museum guides walk you along Main Street and beyond, mixing research, memories and firsthand experiences. Many of the stories come from Darkness Next Door by Clark County historian Pat Jollota. It's best for ages 10 and up, it happens rain or shine, and they suggest bringing a flashlight. Costumes are welcome. Last year these tours were sold out by early October, so don't wait. cchmuseum.org

If it's date night or a grown-ups-only crew

Kids are at grandma's, or there are no kids. You want something you'll still be laughing about at brunch on Sunday.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show at the Kiggins

  • When: Saturday, Oct 31. Doors and pre-show start at 10 p.m. on Halloween (an hour later than usual).

  • Where: Kiggins Theatre, 1011 Main St, Vancouver

  • Cost: $20 (October pricing)

The Kiggins' own shadowcast, the Denton Delinquents, performs the whole film live in front of the screen while the audience yells call-back lines and does the Time Warp. First-timers get initiated by the emcee, which is half the fun. Dress up as much (or as little) as you dare. Outside props aren't allowed, but approved prop bags are sold before the show. All ages are technically allowed, but the film is rated R and the pre-show gets risqué. kigginstheatre.com

My Halloween night, stacked

The museum tour and the Kiggins are five blocks apart on Main Street, which is the whole trick:

  1. 7 p.m.: Haunted History Walking Tour from the museum at 1511 Main St (or Spirit Tales on Officers Row at 7:30 p.m.).

  2. 8:30 p.m.: Dinner downtown. Main Street is right there.

  3. 10 p.m.: Walk down to the Kiggins at 1011 Main St for Rocky Horror.

Ticket math for two: $40 for the museum tour plus $40 for Rocky Horror, before dinner.

Cinema of Horrors, as a date

Honestly, a drive-in where monsters circle the car is a great date. It's per car, so two people pay the same as five. Just remember there's no outside alcohol, and you need to be parked by 7 p.m. Details are in the scare-seeker section above.

Halloween weekend survival tips (the stuff nobody tells you)

  • Book these four today. Cinema of Horrors (online only, sells out nightly), Spirit Tales (small groups), the museum's haunted tour (Eventbrite), and Bi-Zi Farms (timed online tickets, no gate sales for the night maze). Everything else, just show up.

  • Plan for rain, because it's the Couve. The drive-in, Bi-Zi and both ghost walks go on rain or shine. Vancouver Mall is your dry backup. Put a rain layer under the costume, not over it, or nobody will know what they are.

  • The sun sets just before 6 p.m. Add glow sticks or reflective tape to costumes, and hand every kid a small flashlight.

  • Mask rules are real. Vancouver Mall doesn't allow masks on adults or kids over 10, and Cinema of Horrors bans face-covering masks. Face paint solves both.

  • Franklin Street etiquette. It's a residential street with neighbors who do this for free. Park a few blocks out, stay on the sidewalk, and say thank you.

  • Stack by geography, not by list. Downtown (museum tour, Kiggins), the west side (Franklin Street, then the Haunted Laboratory in Hazel Dell), and north county (Bi-Zi, Battle Ground, Ridgefield) each make an easy night. Zig-zagging across the county on Halloween night is how you spend it in traffic.

  • Sunday is free. Clocks fall back at 2 a.m. Nov 1. Sleep in.
