5 Breweries in Clark County That Will Make You Say, “Just One More Glass of Liquid Happiness”

If you’re living in or visiting Clark County and love beer, you’re in for a treat. Over the past few months, my wife and I have been on a self-declared mission to scout out the best breweries in the area, and let me tell you, these spots hit the sweet spot. Whether you’re into hop-heavy IPAs or smooth, crisp lagers, there’s something for everyone. Here are my five favorites (you can thank me later).

ree

1. Loowit Brewing Company – Vancouver, WA

First stop: Loowit Brewing. Located in downtown Vancouver, this place feels like hanging out in your cool friend’s basement (if your friend also brewed award-winning beer). Their Shadow Shinobi IPA is the star of the show—bold, hoppy, and just the right amount of bite. But honestly, their entire tap list slaps. What’s even better? They’ve got vintage arcade games. So, you can sip your beer, play some Mortal Kombat, and pretend it’s 1995 again. Trust me, it’s a vibe.

2. Irrelevant Beer – Vancouver, WA

If Loowit is your cool friend’s basement, Irrelevant Beer is like your artsy neighbor’s garage—in the best way possible. It’s cozy, unpretentious, and perfect for enjoying some killer IPAs. These guys focus on quality over quantity. The space is small but mighty, with a great lineup of beers and a garage door they roll up when the weather’s nice. If you’re into IPAs, this is where you need to be. Plus, the bartenders here are top-notch. They’ll probably remember your name after just one visit.

3. Heathen Brewing Feral Public House – Vancouver, WA

Now, let’s talk Heathen Brewing. Their tagline, “progressive ales for the promiscuous palate,” pretty much says it all. This isn’t your basic brewery. Their Promiscuous Blonde ale is a crowd-pleaser, but don’t sleep on their Son of Malice Imperial IPA if you’re feeling bold. What really sets this place apart is the patio. On a sunny day, there’s no better spot to kick back with a beer and some of their stellar pub food. Pro tip: order the burger. You’re welcome.

4. Fortside Brewing Company – Vancouver, WA

Fortside is a classic. It’s the kind of place you can roll into after work, grab a pint, and feel like a local even if you’re not. They’ve got a solid lineup of beers—think everything from crisp lagers to rich stouts. The vibe here is low-key and friendly, and it’s clear they’re passionate about what they do. This is the brewery where you end up saying, “Okay, just one more pint,” about three times before you actually leave.

5. Hopworks Urban Brewery – Vancouver, WA

Rounding out the list is Hopworks, a place that combines sustainability with some seriously good beer. Located on SE Mill Plain Blvd, it’s perfect if you’re rolling deep with friends or family. Their beers lean toward the approachable side (their Tree Frog Organic Pale Ale is a personal favorite), and the food is just as good as the beer. I’m talking BBQ chicken pizza, wedge salads, the works. It’s also family-friendly, so bring the kids… or just pretend you left them at home so you can enjoy a guilt-free pint.

So there you have it: five breweries in Clark County that you absolutely need to check out. Each one has its own vibe, but they all have one thing in common—amazing beer. If you’ve got a favorite brewery that didn’t make my list, drop it in the comments! I’m always looking for my next pint.
